early winter.

Games are held every Thursday evening in the Trivia Time Room of the
Community Chat Wing at 5:30
pm PST, 6:30 pm MNT, 7:30 pm CST and 8:30 pm EST.
All Guests are welcome to participate in the game, but to enhance the experience,
please attempt to be present for the game's scheduled commencement.
The moderator reserves the right to eject any Player at her discretion.
RULES
One game consists of 19 main rounds in addition to the beginning toss-up round for a total of 20 points.
1) Capitalization is unnecessary but spelling is important. Exact spelling is not
required
but the answer must be understandable enough to convey the meaning.
2) Shorthand is allowed (and is even encouraged) as speed is most important.
3) Surnames are acceptable unless the full name is requested.
4) All multi-part answers must be displayed in the same guess.. split answers shall
be ignored.
5) A time limit of thirty (30) seconds is allowed per question. If the correct
answer is not received within
the time allotted, then that question shall be considered as unanswered and is therefore forfeit.
6) If your Internet connection is disrupted during the game, you shall be allowed
until the conclusion of
that game to re-enter the Chat to continue the game and yet retain your currents points. If you
intentionally depart at any time during the game, all points for that particular game is forfeited.
In other words, if you decide to depart during a game, all points for that evening are
disqualified from the accumulative 6-week Tournament score.
7) Cheating is disallowed. If you utilize a search engine or access a knowledge
database
during a game, then you shall be requested to depart and shall be barred from
participating in any and all future competitions. Please allow us to remain
fair by maintaining a level playing field for everyone involved, Ladies.
The moderator retains final decision regarding acceptable answers.
The questions utilized shall be chosen from several different categories. Among them are:
Arts/Lit - Literature and Art
Geography - World Geography
History - World History
Hodgepodge - Miscellaneous
Fill-Ins - Fill In The Blank
Music - The Musical Arts
Science - Science and Nature
Sports - Games and Sports
Toons - Animated Art
Women - Famous Women
Generally, there shall be 5 set categories. The specific categories shall be revealed just prior
to game commencement. A banner displaying that evening's categories shall be located at
the upper portion of the Trivia Time Room for the duration of the game.
The game begins with a toss-up question chosen by the moderator. The first Player who answers
the question correctly shall then choose one of the 5 categories to begin the game in earnest.
Each correct answer counts as one (1) point. At the conclusion of 20 rounds, all points shall
be tallied. The possible total is 20 points. The week's Winner is the Player who tallies
the most points. In the case of a tie, toss-up questions that have been chosen
by the moderator shall be posed until the first correct answer is received.
All Players accumulate points over the course of a 6-week Tournament. At the end of the
6-week period, the highest accumulative Scorer shall become our Trivia Championess.

The current Tournament is scheduled to be held from September 16,
2004 until October 21, 2004
The Trivia Championess shall be rewarded by having her nick or name and her accumulative
game score
prominently displayed on our Community Trivia Scoreboard
along with Sister Trivia Championesses.
This information shall remain displayed until the end of the year. This Lady shall also enjoy viewing
her nick or name displayed on a banner crafted specially to celebrate her accomplishment. This
banner shall be located at the top of the Community Trivia Scoreboard until it is replaced
by the proceeding Trivia Championess.
This same banner shall also enjoy a limited run
within the Community Chat Wing. Please
