Chinese Checkers
Please remain patient whilst the applet loads as it may take a few moments.
This is a most splendid Java version of the classic board game Chinese Checkers (a personal favourite).
It may be configured to compliment 2, 4 or 6 players, the order of play and also the colours of the marbles.
Once loaded, if you desire to challenge the computer solo, then simply click on Play to immediately commence.
Or you may configure the game to suit your preferences and then press Play to commence.
How To Play
Chinese Checkers is unique in the fact that all game pieces are unrestricted regarding a specific direction of
movement and
are free to jump any other game piece, including your opponent's pieces. All that is required is a single free
space on which
to move and the means to relocate to that space, specifically by either moving a single space or by jumping over
another
piece. Only single space moves or jumps are allowed, although you may move as far as the open spaces allow. The
object
of the game is to completely relocate your marbles to and fill the opposite pie slice prior to your opponent doing
likewise.
Chinese Checkers is a wonderful game of careful forethought and strategy.
How To Move
To select your lead marble, click on your choice once and then click on each space in which the piece may legally
move, whilst clicking twice on the final space of the move to initiate the turn. The computer responds to each
of
your moves with one of it own until the opposite home base is filled with your marbles or visa-versa.
You may move a marble in any direction as long as it remains a legal move.
To enjoy a true challenge, configure the applet for 6 players and join in the fray!
