MAN IN THE MOON

MY MOTHER TOLD ME OF THE MAN IN THE MOON
HIS PALE LIGHT REFLECTIONS, BUT NEVER HIS OWN.
IT TOOK ME YEARS THOUGH TO LEARN HIS WHOLE STORY
AND NOW I KNOW THERE'S A TEAR IN HIS EYE.
HE WAS A BLIND MAN WHO LIVED IN THE DARKNESS
CURSING THE SHADOWS AND DRAGONS HE FOUND.
A BLIND MAN LOST TO THE LIGHT ANT THE LIVING
FOLLOWING HIS DARK STAR INTO THE NIGHT.
WHEN HE WAS A CHILD HIS CANDLE WOULD FLICKER
THE SHADOWS WOULD DANCE, STRANGE BEASTS ON HIS WALL.
THE FORMS WERE ALL DEMONS AND THINGS THAT WERE EVIL
WHEN HIS CANDLE BURNED DOWN, ALL THE SHADOWS REMAINED.
WHEN HE WAS A YOUNG MAN, WALKING THE NIGHT SKY
HE HARBORED A DEEP HOPE OF TAMING A STAR.
HE CLIMBED TO A HILL TOP AND LEAPED TOWARD THE HEAVENS
GOT CAUGHT IN A NOVA, AND LOST HIS WAY HOME.
NOW HE'S AN OLD MAN, LOST IN THE DARK SKY
DRIFTING WITH CLOUDS, AND DREAMS THAT ARE GONE.
HIS FACE SHOWS THE PAIN OF HIS MANY BATTLES
THE SHADOW OF MOONLIGHT REFLECTS IN HIS EYES.

THE JOY A NEW TOMORROW BRINGS.
THESE AND MORE I GIVE TO YOU
TO HAVE AND HOLD THE NIGHTTIME THRU
AND KEEP YOU SAVE FOREVERMORE
AS HIGH ABOVE THE CLOUDS YOU SOAR.
ON WINGS OF ANGELS IN THE NIGHT
MAY HEAVEN GUIDE YOUR ENDLESS FLIGHT.

In the blue, blue skies, I see your beautiful eyes.
Your smile will linger all the while,
Failing as I have in many ways.
There will come a day this I know,

The light salt
From your lip
Smoothed against my cheek
Bits of chocolate, bits of cigarette
Sweetness in its strength
Fire on my fingers
Juices pouring meet my breath
As I burn with feeling it
My tongue plunging into depths
All of climax, all of muscles
Throbbing in and all around
Sucking passion
Tasting center, contact full
Within your bounds
Igniting reflex
Spurring gushes
Your response melting my core
All your walls give way unto me
As you set off in my shores
To bring you on into me
The connection that is total
That is sweet
When our bodies touch
And taste and love and coddle
Pure ecstasy it is
For there really is no other
That drives the soul to live
And dream and even really discover
All your tastes and all your motions
Felt within my perimeter
Absorbed and lavished
Taken in
As you pinpoint my own true essence
Capturing it all
Within my grasp
To not want any end
I taste you, hold you, feel you
As you become my whole life's bread
