I have a friend who is brown.
And when we hold hands we become tan
like beach sand.
I have a friend who is red.
And when we hold hands we become pink
like a sunset sky.
I have a friend who is black.
And when we hold hands we become grey
like a soft summer night.
I have many friends.
And when we hold hands we become a Rainbow
like the promise after the storm.

Met you on a springtime day
You mesmerized me in every way
Met by luck or was it chance
You stole my heart with just one glance
From the first moment I was yours
My heart gone without hesitation
Breathless I take in the beauty that is yours
Knowing in an instant that I must have you in my life
Days pass and we see each other again
We come together as one
Entangled in all that is love
I can't get enough of you or your love
Time passes us by like seconds
Each day better than the one before
Feelings never waning
Just getting stronger with every passing moment
The future is what I see in your eyes
Everyday I pray for one more day with you
Every night I am thankful for having gotten one more
You hold the key to all that I am
You restore my faith in love
My love for you knows no bounds
It is as endless as the stars in the sky

Seasons of the Wind

Upon a cloud she seems to sit
Above the earth so high
Blowing soft and gentle kisses down
When spring comes rolling by.
Her plans for now, this time of year
Seems to surely be.
Lighting eyes and laughter too
For all the world to see.
Her summer breezes warm our hearts
And her passion seems to grow.
Blowing warm and tenderly
To let the sunshine glow.
She drifts upon the ocean shores
Across the land and sea.
Touching everyone at hand
Including you and me.
Then only in a moment,
Or as it seems to be..
Leaves are falling everywhere
And autumn it shall be.
Her pace is picking up some speed
Her temperature begins to cool.
The earth does seem to mellow
As the kids go back to school.
The wind does not like winter
And expresses it with such fright.
She turns the days to frigid
And gets worse within her night.
She longs for warmth within her life
And shivers in the frost.
She rages over this great land
And we shall pay the cost.
Respect the wind for she is good
In all her loving ways.
For she will travel this great land
In all our future days.

Climb the Rain

If we were to climb the falling rain
Using each drop as our stepping stone
We would be up in the clouds,
And find ourselves alone.
We'd feast our eyes upon this earth
And hold each other's hand.
Experiencing nature's beauty
As we float across this land.
We'd pass over the lovely forests
And the mountains standing tall.
We'd look into each other's eyes
And, into love, we'd fall.
We'd float above the oceans
View all the ships at sea.
We'd feel those waves pass through us
So right, for you and me.
And when our night began to fall
We'd see the stars shine bright.
We then would wish upon a star
And hold each other tight.
Then on we'd follow that great moon
From shore to shining shore.
Forever to stay in the arms
Of the one whom we adore.

The Dance

She danced with me
It was very erotic
She took my body
She moved it
It was almost hypnotic
The dance was connected
With electricity we were
All one moving flesh
All one dancing blur
The dance went much deeper
Then just our together meld
Even later in our loving
In the feelings that we held
The dance it is around it all
Not just us right there now
But all the things in both our lives
That tell us what or how
The dance I think of most for sure
Is just the one that should linger
Of both our smiles connected so
As I circled round your finger!

The grilling
The intenseness
The embarrassment
The testimonies
That still have
To be done
Finally seems like

The facts have been
There for years
Now they will be heard
Child Support
A responsibility that
Should just be
We’ll see
Finally seems like
Such a short word
Time, money, postponement
They don’t count
We’re on court time
Not real time
Or even kid time
Finally seems like

Afterwards is
The other half
The part we do
Despite
The shoulds, the coulds
The living life now
That tomorrow doesn’t
Even touch

Now, to get through it
