I think if we could absolutely define what love is we might have had an easier time of finding it a lot earlier. |

To whomever posted this question - is there some connection between love and financial matters????? hhhhhmmmm, if so, perhaps that is why I am single. Too damn cheap to get a woman. LOL LOL |

Love is the thing you feel when someone accidentally posts an extra hundred thousand $$$$$ into your bank account. (This IS the financial board, right?) LOL! Sheryl |

gracie, in downtown Richmond there is a definite connection between love and financial matters in the Church Hill section; and as I just told ac, I always loved diagramming sentences in school, so I guess love is all about diagramming |

here we goooooo - LOVE what is it where is it found how do we describe it????? Love is that which brings the soul within to peace, contentment, and quiet. It is to each person something quite different and beyond description to anyone not part of that particular couple, family or friendship. Love of child, parent, friend, lover - which love do you describe to anyone?????? Sitting on a mountain top watching clouds, dreaming dreams, seeing the same pictures? - is that love?????? well perhaps it is but is it the same love of anyone else - never.... |

To me, Love is the feeling that makes you smile when you picture someones face. You feel warm, safe, secure, comfortable...in general warm fuzzies. It is the person you most trust, the one whose feelings most matter. It might be finishing each others thoughts or sentences, it might be smiling across a room and feeling it in your heart. Its the feeling of "belonging"....heart, body, soul and mind. A true sharing of each other. Yes, Im a romantic....*s*.....and the ultimate love is the thing that completes you. |

OK, since we are gonna discuss what is love on the financial matters page, I will pull my head out of my butt and give an honest answer. Love has never made me feel so happy nor has loss of love ever made me feel so terrible. Love is not written in stone. I have thought about my g/f and smiled all over; my face smiled, my heart smiled, my body felt infiltrated by an angel. At times I thought about my g/f and every body part hurt, fearing we would ever part. Awaking first, I would look over at her, and almost cry at how much love I felt for this person. I would be overwhelmed by emotion. Half asleep during the night, I would touch her and be at peace with the world knowing she was next to me. Love does not come to everyone. Love is a unique experience. Those who have experienced love can no more describe that feeling that one can touch a cloud. We can try to describe, but unless we are fortunate to experience such love, decriptive words are inadequate. |

Love seems to be an innate function in most animate objects. Crossing species as well as interspecies. It's the meeting of some inner depth within a concious mind that communes with another. It can be the cats paw,as she's curled upon ones lap, reaching up to caress its care givers cheek. It can be the pup that will defend with its life those who house and nourish it booth literaly anf figuaratively. It can be the one whose sense of morality fits exactly ,like a jig saw puzzel, into ones own values. There are no scientific determinates of love. It seems to exist as instinctual in higher forms of life, perhaps even in lesser forms. Perhaps it is the major gift given to sentinent beings to lift us to another plane, to bring out the best in us and in rare times the worst. It's a word much bandied about ,used thoughtlessly at times, while at other times it's the only word we can find to express the unexpressable. |
